Stacey Severance - Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church PCA in Florence, SC

Stacey Severance
Church Planter/Pastor

Stacey was born in Florence, SC and grew up all around the Southeast (his father worked for a company that built paper mills).  He graduated from Francis Marion University and Reformed Theological Seminary in Charlotte.  In 2016, Stacey and his family (wife Lia and daughters Abby, Josie, Noelle, and Eden) moved back to Florence to plant a new church. Stacey enjoys woodworking and watching college football.

Jake and his wife, Lauren, have been married for 5 years and are both originally from Roanoke, VA. Jake is a graduate of the Virginia Military Institute and graduated from Reformed Theological Seminary with a Masters in Divinity in May of 2017. Lauren went to Virginia Tech and runs a graphic design business. They're both very excited to be in Florence and a part of what God is doing through Good Shepherd Presbyterian Church!

Laurie Beth is originally from Georgia, but moved to South Carolina during her teen years. She graduated from Clemson University and then married her best friend, Hugh. The Lord richly blessed them with three children, Afton, Hadden and Meir Ruth. Laurie Beth enjoys spending time with husband and children, plants, reading, and being outdoors.


Lia Severance
Children and Nursery Co-Coordinator

Lia grew up in Atlanta and graduated from Georgia College and State University.  She moved to Florence to work for a college ministry at Francis Marion University.  Shortly after moving to Florence, she was introduced to Stacey and they were engaged a year and a half later.  Stacey and Lia have 4 daughters (Abby, Josie, Noelle and Eden).  She enjoys spending time with family, camping, games, reading and running.
