What is the PCA?
The Presbyterian Church in America is network of interconnected churches that submit to each another in both what we believe about the Bible and how we live out those beliefs.
We believe that Jesus intended for churches to be dependent on each other as they follow Him, rather than being entirely independent and autonomous. Passages like Acts 15 and Revelation 1-3 reflect this interconnectedness.
The churches of the PCA believe that God gave the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments to teach us what we should believe about Him and what He requires of us, with the first and foremost belief being our need for faith in Jesus Christ for the forgiveness of our sins.
PCA churches are accountable to one another on both a local and national level to encourage each other and help one another shepherd God’s people and spread the gospel more effectively.
